game description:

In the world of Motocross, freestyle has become the outlet for the inspired rider to both showcase their talent and express their personal styles. Over time, riders have developed an extensive list of motocross freestyle tricks that have been both ground breaking and awe striking. In a sport where complication and originality set you apart from the rest, it is essential to have a broad spectrum of options to wow your audience. Here is a list, along with brief descriptions, to help any you get a glance into the wild and crazy effort that goes into pulling off these Motocross freestyle tricks:

Regular Motocross Freestyle tricks:
The Can Can: The rider lifts his foot over the seat to the other side, then brings it back.
The Fender Grab: The rider grabs either the from or rear fender.
The Heel Clicker: The rider kicks his legs over the handlebars and clicks his heels.
The Bar Hop: The rider lifts both legs over the handlebars.
The Lazy Boy: The rider places his feet under the handlebars and lays back on the bike.
The Cliffhanger: The rider hooks his feet on the handlebars and reaches up, lifting his body off of the bike.
The Kiss of Death: The rider brings his head above the front fender while lifting his legs up and out behind him.
The Ruler: The rider moves the bike and his body vertically.

The list goes on, but there are also variations of many of these Motocross freestyle tricks, making them more complicated, and thus worth more points in the competitions:
The No-Footer Can Can: The rider lifts off of the bike while moving both legs to one side, with his body bent and heels down.
The Double Grab: The rider grabs the seat with both hands and extends his body in an upward motion.
The Rodeo: A variation of the Heel Clicker were the rider puts one hand in the air, circling it, as if riding a bull.
The Switchblade: A trick similar to the Bar Hop, but the legs are positioned on the sides of the handlebars rather than the center.

Beyond these types of tricks, there are also rotation tricks such as the backflip, the front flip, and the 360. These tricks require a great deal of strength as well as coordination. In extraordinary cases, a trick like the double backflip can be pulled off.

The rider also has the ability to earn extra points in the take off and landing. Variations to taking off include one handed, and side saddle. In landing, the rider can boost his standings with the no-hander lander, the one handed lander, side saddle, or the sterilizer.

Some of the greatest riders pioneered many of these variations. Riders like Mike Jones, Tommy Clowers, Mike Metzger, and Travis Pastrana, just to name a few, created these variables, further peeking the interest of curious amateur riders and boosting the popularity of the sport to new heights. There are more large scale venues than ever before. The X-Games, Gravity Games, and Big-X offer riders the chance to show off their stuff while competing for the best standings. Each rider has the chance to go over the top...
